Bill is an industry veteran with over 18 years of experience; starting as an originator and moving into mortgage banking over 12 years ago. Bill’s strong leadership qualities and business insight helped him quickly move up in the industry. He has worked on legislation for the USDA Rural Housing Program with Congress on expansion of the program and educated lenders over the years on the USDA Rural Housing loans. Those skills and knowledge have helped him to successfully grow and manage this Correspondent Division in purchasing FHA, VA, USDA, Freddie, Fannie and Jumbo loan products. He attributes these successes to the strong relationships that he has built over the years with the many key individuals and companies we do business with throughout the industry.

Deborah is a long time career veteran of the Mortgage Industry. She has had the pleasure of working as a processor, closer, DE Underwriter, Operations Manager, and Loan Officer earlier in her career. Deborah has held executive level positions as VP of Sales & Operations of Wholesale Lending, as well as Regional VP of Correspondent Lending for 16 years for a large Southwest Regional Bank. She was also COO for one the largest privately held Mortgage Companies in the Northwestern United States. Most recently Deborah held the position of Director of Compliance and Servicing for FirstBank Mortgage. In 2007, Deborah served as President of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association, Vice President of the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers and received her CMB from the National Association of Mortgage Bankers in 2009. Deborah is passionate about the mortgage industry and helping people with homeownership.

Michael brings over 25 years of executive level experience in the mortgage industry, with a proven track record in building both national and regional sales territories. He is known for his ability to develop strong business relationships and for his extensive mortgage knowledge in the process of buying both agency and non-agency loans. Through his robust management and leadership skills, Michael has built several very successful mortgage conduits at marque companies throughout the industry, producing notable outcomes and dramatically increasing growth and financial performance. He possesses a keen ability to develop remarkable results, especially when building production from the ground up. Due to his broad skillset and unique perspective, Michael is exceptionally qualified to lead the business development team for the western half of the United States.

With over 15 years in the mortgage industry, Kate’s extensive experience spans retail, wholesale and correspondent lending. Her ability to understand the priorities and needs of lenders of all types is one of her many assets - from small to large & new to seasoned. In her role as the head of FirstBank’s Correspondent Lender Management Team, Kate is responsible for overseeing, monitoring and building relationships with our correspondents. Keeping up-to-date with the ever changing market and regulatory compliance requirements is a top priority so that she can be of the utmost assistance to both clients and colleagues. From initial contract negotiations and application to new lender orientation and website training, Kate is dedicated to providing a boutique approach to client service with each business relationship. She has amassed a proven track record and reputation for building and managing successful correspondent relationship teams and her emphasis on exceptional client service with a personal touch ensures a smooth transition.

With over 15 years in mortgage and technology industry, Ankit is a visionary and has a passion for helping the business grow by aligning IT with strategic business goals. As a technology leader, he has extensive knowledge of IT processes, Custom Software Development, Cloud Computing and Budgeting. Ankit has a complete understanding of retail, wholesale and correspondent lending from compliance, sales, operations, capital markets and secondary markets. His passion for technology and thorough understanding of mortgage industry has enabled him to successfully develop different Loan Origination platforms. While building technology platforms, his focus is primarily the user experience and customer satisfaction. In his role as VP, Information Technology at FirstBank Mortgage, he is directly responsible for all technology needs of the correspondent channel. Day to day responsibility includes infrastructure, security, development, maintenance and support of correspondent loan origination system, as well as backups. Ankit also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Linda has over 27 years in the banking/mortgage Industry. After completing a teller training course, she started as a proof operator with a small bank. After a few years of experience she had the opportunity to broaden her lending base knowledge by switching to the Installment & Commercial lending area of banking. Linda’s next big change came when she accepted a position with a large nationally known mortgage lender as a Tax representative and within a year was promoted to Supervisor to work with the Guaranteed Rural housing business channel. Linda has spent the last 27 years working in various capacities on the residential mortgage industry and the development and implementation of the Guaranteed Rural Housing Loan program. Along the way she has managed processing, closing, funding, file intake and imaging.

With 27 years of experience, Colleen has extensive background with all aspects of the mortgage industry. Her career began as a mail clerk, reviewing and sorting the mail to individual departments. That was a great start - learning documents as well as understanding customer needs. As her career advanced, she continued to learn more about the business and ventured on to learn about property taxes, escrow accounting and researching customer correspondence and responding to their questions. She later got involved with the originations side and began as a funder learning the purchase end of the business. Colleen soon moved to the insuring and final documents piece. She worked covering all 50 states to ensure all insuring documents were received timely. She is well versed with USDA guidelines and property related requirements for both new and existing housing - helping to develop her skills and understanding of the breakdown of a loan purchase. Colleen’s experience assisting with internal and external audits, working with government auditors and internal auditors as well as her continued work with the servicing side ensures an accurate, smooth transition of loans through the sale to FirstBank Correspondent.

Tracey Warren

Tracey has over 35 years of mortgage banking experience. She began in the industry in 1982, as a real estate paralegal. She serviced a clientele, which included people who had difficulty obtaining refinances. After successfully assisting many of the firm’s clients, one of the banks that Tracey worked with encouraged her to become their community lender. Since then, Tracey has worked in every phase of the loan process from loan origination, customer service, processing and underwriting. For many years, she was a builder loan officer for a large national builder. She has also managed post closing loan review teams and quality control underwriters. As the Non-Delegated Underwriting Manager, Tracey uses her experience and resources to find a better way to get loans approved. Her underwriting team implements a customer service approach that is not typically embraced by underwriters.
